Winter 2013
Cold, dry, sunny days are making it a bit easier to continue with our jobs on the farm.
We are busy cutting red, white and savoy cabbage, picking swede and the potatoes are all up in storage.
The muck spreading is going well, although we haven’t started ploughing yet.
The cows are all now settled in the crews and calving has begun. It’s lovely to see the little calves running and playing together.
Everything seems to be hanging on a lot longer in the garden this year due to the mild weather. I still have lettuce growing in my vegetable boxes!! The lawns are still growing. Even the odd wasp has been spotted flying around.
From all of us here at New Farm we would like to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy new year.
